Windows Vista does not maintain the last access date for files, a feature that Find Unused Files needs. Even if you use Windows XP, you can't trust that the last access date of files are shown correctly, since you might be looking at a disk location shared by a Vista computer. Our new program ShowSize at least gives a warning: We have researched this aspect while developing the new version of ShowSize, our disk utility that shows folder sizes and many other reports. How does ShowSize process "Unused Files" report? ShowSize shows "Unused Files" report on Windows XP but with a warning. It disables this report on Windows Vista.
